GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Melton Grammar School is a progressive school. We are a private and permitted institution offering quality early years education.
We use the Montessori approach, where students can progress from one level to another, according to their own pace. Individualised help is provided taking into consideration the varied abilities of students in any one grade.
Children are given opportunities to experience success every step of the way and challenged to reach their full potential.

DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
Welcome to Melton Grammar School!
It is a pleasure to welcome everyone visiting our website. I hope that you will find all information useful and helpful in finding a good, quality education provider for your children.
Melton Grammar school is a progressive school that has adopted the Montessori approach to teaching and learning. This approach ensures maximum help and assistance to every individual child so that no child is left behind as he or she progresses though the various activities provided in our curriculum.
Our trained Montessorian staff values every child regardless of race, gender or religion by providing them the right motivation to learn using meaningful, real life and relevant learning experiences.
Our school believes in children’s individual talents that need not be compared to the talent of others.
We see it as our prime obligation to develop these talents, develop and strengthen them so that our students take pride in what they can do and improve their self-worth. Becoming confident learners is important to us if we have to achieve the goals of our curriculum.
Melton Grammar School has values firmly embedded in our school programme. Among these are social awareness, respect for cultural differences, community awareness, professionalism, honesty, self-discipline, respect for others, responsibility and excellence.
Join us and be part of the MGS family that guarantees quality education for your children in this 21st century and beyond.

See what parents have to say about Melton Grammar School
“Melton Grammar was our school of choice for our 3 children whilst we lived in Kokopo and we were sad to leave the school in 2017 after four fantastic years there. I am happy to say all our children have settled well into their new schools in Sydney with no problems adjusting to the standard and curriculum set for them. This is testimony to the quality of education they received at Melton. Melton Grammar School is a special place and we look back on our time there with fondness. Not only are the PNG and expat teachers well trained in the Montessori teaching principals, but they all have a genuine interest in your child’s learning and development. The quality of the teaching staff, coupled with the amazing teacher/student ratio and excellent curriculum make for a perfect learning environment. I am grateful my children had a Melton Grammar School education.”
John Seeto“My son attended Melton Grammar and from day one he came out beaming. The teachers loved his inquisitive nature and worked with him to find the answers to his most challenging questions. We moved back to Australia in 2017 and found him to be between 6 months to a year ahead in reading and maths.”
